When creating an account:
- Email address — for authentication and optional email alerts
- Password — stored as a secure hash, never in plain text
- Google account info — name and email if you use Google sign-in
When using the platform (optional):
- Portfolio holdings you enter manually
- Trade journal entries you log
- Alert preferences and watchlist items
Collected Automatically
- Sentiment search history — to power your personal trend charts
- Browser and device info — for technical optimization
- IP address — for security and fraud prevention only
What We Do NOT Collect
- Brokerage credentials or real account balances
- Social Security numbers or government IDs
- Payment card information
- Precise geolocation data
- Biometric data
3. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticating your identity and maintaining your account
- Storing and displaying your portfolio, watchlist, and trade journal
- Sending email alerts you have configured
- Personalizing sentiment history charts
- Improving the platform through anonymized usage analytics
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Serve you targeted advertisements
- Share your portfolio data without your explicit consent
- Use your data to train AI models without your consent
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL on AWS) with encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and Row Level Security ensuring your data is isolated from other users.
- Passwords hashed with bcrypt — never stored in plain text
- Short-lived authentication tokens, rotated regularly
- API endpoints are authenticated and rate-limited
Retention
- Account data — until you delete your account
- Sentiment history — 12 months per entry
- Portfolio and trade journal — until you delete your account or entries
- Email alert logs — 90 days

6. Your Rights
Access & Export
You can export your portfolio and trade journal directly from the app. For a full data export, contact us via pulsemarket.io.
Deletion
To delete your account and all data, go to Settings → Delete Account, or contact us via pulsemarket.io. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days.
Opt-Out
Unsubscribe from email alerts at any time via app settings or by clicking unsubscribe in any email.
California (CCPA) & EU/UK (GDPR)
We honor all CCPA and GDPR rights including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. We do not sell personal information. Contact us via pulsemarket.io to exercise your rights.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies for authentication and local storage for your app preferences only. We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
8. Children
PulseMarket is not intended for users under 18. If we become aware of data collected from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes
We will notify users by email of material changes to this policy. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
